i have noticed that a VIDEO_TS folder with vob-files stutters when streamed through lan, but the same DVD saved as *.ISO plays fine. is this a known issue?
my WDTV live is attached through LAN directly to my dlink router which has a NAS attached. with this setup nearly all full-hd mkvs play fine, but i was quite surprised to see that many of my DVDs saved as VOBs started to stutter. WDTV live FW is 1.04.V something |

Hmm, no idea, but considering the many complaints, could be a problem with this latest FW. Did the same issue show up with 1.03.49 as well?

i am not sure to tell the truth, but so far i haven't had many problems with streaming DVDs. might really be a FW issue. i am also bugged by the fact that when starting a movie it is never shown which audio-track is actually played. you have to roll over the audio-menu and back again in order to make the current audio-track appear. this has never been the case before.

Then try downgrading (see Tutorials section if you need help).
