i have noticed that a VIDEO_TS folder with vob-files stutters when streamed through lan, but the same DVD saved as *.ISO plays fine. is this a known issue?
my WDTV live is attached through LAN directly to my dlink router which has a NAS attached. with this setup nearly all full-hd mkvs play fine, but i was quite surprised to see that many of my DVDs saved as VOBs started to stutter.
WDTV live FW is 1.04.V something

Hmm, no idea, but considering the many complaints, could be a problem with this latest FW. Did the same issue show up with 1.03.49 as well?

i am not sure to tell the truth, but so far i haven't had many problems with streaming DVDs. might really be a FW issue. i am also bugged by the fact that when starting a movie it is never shown which audio-track is actually played. you have to roll over the audio-menu and back again in order to make the current audio-track appear. this has never been the case before.

Then try downgrading (see Tutorials section if you need help).
