    Hello all,

Can someone please please please tell me how I can stream movies from my external hard drive to the my wdtv? I have my external drive connected to my iMac and the wdtv live connected to the tv in the living room and it's connected to my home network already. I can't seem to get my movies from my hard drive over the air to the wdtv in the living room. I've tried turning on file sharing but getting really lost and frustrated. I'm a new mac user and wdtv user so this doesn't help.

Where can I find some information on this? I've looked on the internet, here, and WD's website but nothing useful. Please help.

if it's a fairly new OS, 10.7 or newer I think, mac broke samba and sharing is a bitch.
not WD's fault, apples fault unfortunately, whether or not a fix will ever emerge is anyone's guess, there are workarounds from what I hear but I don't know any more than that.
