I'm having trouble with AAC files, they're in iTunes+ format (256kbit/s VBR) and my WDTV won't recognize the "artist" "album" etc info from the files, album art does work on some of the files but not all. All my files are finetuned in iTunes as far as tags go but WDTV just doesn't recognize the tag information??

Almost a year later with the current firmware 1.01.24 - my WDTV Live recognizes _most_ my albums, ripped with iTunes, but some titles it still doesn't recognize and puts them under "others"... Is there any solution to this except re-ripping all as mp3?...

@lyakh: I hope you do realise that this topic refers to the 1st Gen. WD TV, which is a whole different beast compared to the Live?

If newer FW versions recognise your files better than old ones did, then you should bring the unrecognised files to WD's attention and see what they have to say about it. Converting/re-ripping all files to MP3 is something that can always be done, but if the player is advertised as supporting a file format but doesn't do it properly, this is something WD should address rather than users having to find a workaround for it.
