I took the FW update a few months ago and it killed my wireless streaming. I can't get my movies to stream smoothly since that update. I rolled back and I could only go a few updates before. It didn't fix it.
I posted at WD Forums about this and it seems that there are many in the same situation. I mentioned a fix is needed or a Class Action Lawsuit should be started. I got a Private Message from their moderator saying I can not mention any legal issues on their forums. If they don't get the next FW correct, I think there should be one started. WD support is so bad. |

I don't recall any class action lawsuit being filed even when their FW updates completely bricked the Live models of unfortunate users. Good luck threatening them with "Get your new FW correct, or else"...

yeah, what WDUser said. I / we wont comment on any such thing, positively or negatively, that's just asking for trouble.
there are proper channels to make your complaints / threats to and this forum ISN'T it. 'there are many in the same situation' - possibly, there are also lots who have been successful in rolling back their firmware to what ever version they want, just by reading and following directions included with it, a little reading between the lines 'may' be involved. |
