    Hi, newbie so go gentle.

    Been using the wdtv for several months, now suddenly I get the message that my hard drive is empty. It's not, it's pretty much full. Any ideas?

    eject the drive from the wdtv, hook it up to a pc, delete the .wd_tv folder, run scan disk on it.
    power cycle the wdtv (pull the cord out of the back of the wdtv, don't use the remote).
    when it's up and running again, then hook up the drive, let it scan and check it.

    Thanks. Managed to solve this by just unplugging the damn thing. Crazy.
