       Can MKV audio file from BR backups be improved?, Can the True HD DD and Master HD DTS be converted to DD+?

    I understand the WD SMP 3rd Gem and the HUB can not push True HD DD or Master HD DTS to my AV reciever via bitstream even though it decodes such streams. Everything about making an MKV file is great but the goal is to convert these codacs to regular DD 5.1 or DTS 5.1. DD plus is a better codac and is supported by WD SMP so wouldn't be better to conert True HD to DD + which is a great improvement over DD 5.1.

    Does anyone have a way to do it and add the BR backup file to be included in a MakeMTV foler?

    I'm new to this media player and the inability to keep the HD sound is a disappointment to me.

    A forum dedicated to audio/video encoding might be a better bet for queries of this nature. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

    Off the top of my head, the only 2 programs I can think of are eac3to and tsMuxer. If either of these work or you find a solution elsewhere, be sure to let us know as well.
