I have an WD live player an since now it worked well with my Samsung 1,5 TB HDD.
After I cleaned up my computer with an antivirus (Eset Nod 32), something happened with the HDD. If I remember well, the antivirus deleted the host.exe file from HDD. Since than it takes about a minute for any file to start on the player after the play. It looks like the player has some trouble to read the HDD. Do anyone has any idea how can I solve this problem? Thank you in advanced! |

host.exe does not sound like a good Windows file, sounds like you had some infections..
I would recommend getting the viruses cleaned up and scanning your drive very well, then do a checkdisk to fix / check for other potential problems, then delete the .wd_tv folder and try it again. also try another drive, external hard drive or flash drive, that way you can tell if it is the current drive or something else with your player.. |

This is what my antivirus found on may Samsung 1,5TB HDD.
I:\copy.exe - Win32/Perlovga.A virus - action selection postponed until scan completion Is this part of the system or a real virus? It seems that the antivirus is unable to clean it. What should I do? Best Regards, |

copy.exe is no windows file I am familiar with..
to delete the .wd_tv folder it is best to hook the drive up to a computer. if you still can't then you likely still have other issues with your computer. |

I found the answer here: http://wdtvhd.com/index.php?showtopic=9976...ost&p=17136
How to delete a corrupted ph.db-journal file: "I had to run the check disk on start up on the computer for it to delete the files and once I plugged the hard drive back into the unit, it replaced the file back on the hard drive and now it works perfectly." Thank you so much! With your help I solved my problem! |
