I've been using a couple of WD passport drive with my old WD (gen 1) since it came out, no problems at all.
I've just upgraded to this one and it randomly won't see folders that I've been using for years? Even if I delete the folder and remake it with a new name it sometimes won't show up? Yet if I put the video file it contains on the root it show sand plays fine, so its not the file. Last night dropped a file into a folder I've been using for a good couple of years, and when I got to the containing folder the item folder isn't showing. Not under video or file. Last week when I did the same thing everything was fine ? The folder/dir structurer is showing up fine on the pc. Anyone have a thought as to whats happening ? |

Run a thorough disk check on the Passport, just in case.
Double-check permissions on all files/folders, old and new. Delete the hidden .wdtv Media Library folder from the drive. Last resort - pull out the power cord, wait 30s and plug back again, or else try a soft/hard reset. |
