Can anyone tell me why my wdtvliveplus is stopping the playback after a minute of two I use it. It happens in every file I try to play(either photo or video or song). Then tells me that "my hard drive has to be ejected first before I disconnect it"??.
It was working just fine and then I updated it to 1.04.22 firmware. It finally detected my Linksys AE1000 and it was working just fine. Then I installed on my computer the WD Discovery Software and magically let me copy files from my computer to my wd 1tb hard drive that is connected to my wdtvlive plus. The last time that worked just fine was before I used the mkvmerge over the wireless network. Since then, it's been a nightmare because I just can't use the device.
I've tried to reset the unit pushing the little botton on the side of the unit, tried to reset to the factory resets , diconnected the unit for about an hour. nothing happens.
    Please help me out.

does your external hard drive have it's own power supply or is it USB powered?
