just purchased the live and i understand that you can add metadata into your movie folder, pictures and text but i cannot work out how to do it....watched a movie last night and i was able to view the movie plot but it was not available for all movies, does the movie file have to be named a certain way to show up

If you were able to view the movie plot without installing custom WDLXTV firmware, I suspect you bought a Live Hub and not a Live. You can confirm using the first link in my sig below.

The Hub should have a get metadata function (check the manual) to retrieve info. from an online open DB that anyone can edit.

thanks for the reply, i definitely did not buy the hub, its the live streaming gen 3, i am able to view the movie or tv series plots along with a slide show of screen shots in the background, its brilliant, even better than cylents showcase without the sometimes buggy hassle of custom firmware etc...i realised the reason some movies did not display the plot etc was because the movie folder was incorrectly named

its so good i cannot imagine why you would bother with custom firmware

the new wireless live and the live hub can't be modded at this time so if you have the new live, no point in teasing you!
