    Hi

Coming from using a Netgear EVA8000 streamer I chose the WDTV Live Hub as the reviews were good and it seemed to tick all the boxes. Only having used it can I now say that, compared to alternatives, there are a couple of basic features I would love to see on the box. I want to purchase another two boxes but am really tempted to go back to Netgear instead as it seems much easier to use (despite the issues of support).

    1) Why can't the hub be told, or automatically scan my network shares for changes. I have to turn the media library off and on again for this to happen. The EVA has a nice little feature which performs a quick scan of the network shares and adds new titles to the top of the list.
    2) Why isn't the file information, including content info, copied into the queue? The only way I know which are the latest, unviewed films, is to copy the film to the queue. But the content information, file size and any other information on the film isn't copied
    3) If a refresh can be performed on the network share can the new files be automatically placed into the queue instead of having to manually choose the network share, turn off then on media library, browsing to the film and then adding it to the queue.
    4) Why can't I browse titles on multiple network shares as one list so I don't have to guess where my films are (I have two NAS servers with multiple shares on each)?
    5) Can I play all files, either randomly or in order, within the same folder?
    6) I have to regularly restart the hub as browsing a network share becomes impossibly slow.
    7) What's with the slow network performance? On Gigabit I can transfer 15MB/s to a Buffalo NAS, 45-50MB/s to a Freenas server and only 5MB/s to the WDTV Live Hub. I've decided not to use the internal storage as it's too slow to transfer.

Just my thoughts, but pretty a pretty basic wishlist really.

    Thanks
