mka (dts-wav) problem on 4 min Options

Hi,

I don't known if it's a possible bug or not!!!!!

I've problems with playing DTS music!!!!

In mka format (wav dts in mka files), the problem was a little popping or backfire sound between 4:10 and 4:30 minutes of the song!!!!
If you uses FF or RW, the problem not occur... It's necessary play the totally of the song!!!!

And in a WAV decoded in DTS music files, my AV receiver reproduces a continuous white noise!!!!

I tested official firmware versions 1.02.10 and 1.02.11 with the same results... WAV DTS music file = WHITE NOISE!!! And POPPING in MKA music files!!!!

I have totaly same problems with mka (dts-wav) files. Damned 4 minute... Firmware last 1.03 same problem, I hope that a new firmware will more happy about this stupid bug. :-(

Acc. to Google, seems like he copy-pasted an entire series of posts from another WD TV forum. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

@martin: If none of the FW versions help, then the only thing you can do is convert those DTS-WAV files into a format the player can play properly. Read the manual for more info. re. format support.

This model will 99.9% never see another FW update, so you have to make do with its limitations, or get some other player. if it bugs you so much.

Yes it is copy from another forum, I try search same problem here (just I want show that is not only my problem with mka - dts fils). Official support in spec are:
Audio - MP3, WAV/PCM/LPCM, WMA, AAC, FLAC, MKA, AIF/AIFF, OGG, Dolby Digital, DTS
So if is not possible correctly play MKA(DTS) or DTS - it is BUG, special when I red that this problem is only from last version of firmware. According to what is your info about 0.01% success to wait on a new version of firmware? Any way I thank you for your quick coment and special more quick say about my idiocy :-)) goood boy.

So you've not tried yourself? Why not install old FW vers. and see? If one of them works for you, stick to it.

According to many posts on the official WD forum asking for info. about continued support, which WD has never even bothered to reply to (which seems very rude to me, to say the least), and according to most comments by people, I have come to the conclusion that the Gen. 1 will never receive a FW update again. Since WD hasn't had the decency to confirm or deny this (not that I know of), so I said 99.9% rather than with 100% certainty.

hmmm, these seems bad to my problem...I start thinking about WDTV v2, but rather I will check forum there if have not sam problems.
