       Video nagivation wishes, Ideas from my mythtv mvpmc device

    The following changes are pulled from the usability of my Hauppauge MVP device running mvpmc (http://www.mvpmc.org), connected to a Mythtv network:

    during video playback, allow the number keys to skip to a percentage. eg, if the 1 is pressed, go to 10% of the video, if the 2 is pressed, go to 20%, 5 = 50%. An alternative would be to allow 2 numbers for a direct percentage: 25 = 25%, 47 = 47%

    Make the |<< & >>| buttons go forward & backward some fixed amount, say either 3 minutes, or 1% of the video, instead of jumping to the next/previous video. In my opinion, the previous/next video is a waste of buttons, and dangerous as well, as one could easily wind up in another file without intending to get there.

    Press fast forward. Then while it's fast forwarding, press the next/skip/>>l button. The video will then jump to ten minutes from that point.
