I've been using the WD TV Live HD for quite some time with a Toshiba 8Gb USB flash drive. Recently I faced the freezing wheel problem with every single file but I did an upgrade to ver 1.06.15 and everything went fine. Now there is no new firmware and I face the same problem. I unplugged the device from the power for 15-15 minutes and it plays fine again.

Bad news. New firmware did not help. When I play video longer then xx minute (dont know exact time) the player freeze and continue playing video till the end and then stop with black screen. Only electricity disconenting will help to be able to play another movie. Even if you leave the preview displaying for longer time, preview freeze the player and you are not able to change movie. I tryed to disable the screensaver but it not help. It looks that this is realy problem of my hardware.

Configuration: WD TV Live + NAS Seagate BlackArmor 110, firmware 1.03.22

I realize this was posted a while ago but in case you are still seeing this problem, I have written up an analysis of the problem along with a workaround here: http://wdtvhd.com/index.php?showtopic=3050...ost&p=71289
