hello to all!
i have a WD TV HD v2 and a LG 32LH3000 tv set. i use the wd tv via hdmi 1.3 cable and all goes well...i have made xvids of my box of Charmed tv series with handbrake+perian on a mac osx but when i play the xvids by wd tv i have to set the tv volume to max 10 out of 100....is there a way to reduce amplification of the wd tv? |

Are you sure the ripping+encoding process didn't mess with the original audio track? Does a simple ripped VOB from a DVD also sound amplified?

let's see....i mean that the xivd (done from the vob) sounds amplified, i don't touch anything prior to rip, i suppose it leaves as is...but tomorrow i'll get a check about and i'll tell you more....and i'll try also a vob file...

I got what you meant. Try the original VOB as well as the Xvid AVI created from it to see if they sound different (keeping all TV/player settings the same of course).
