Hello I just bought my WDTV live plus in hope I could easily watch the videos I have on my TV. I looked up the supported formats and it says thatit supports h.264/MP4/mkv etc..

When I go to play the file I just get the little circle going round 'n round and nothing happens. I tried another video I found on the internet and that worked.

Is there anything I can do to fix this ? This is extremely disappointing as all my video files from work are in this format ( most of them at least ). I hope there is some easy fix/way around this ?

Not sure if this will help or not, but I found some different specs on some of the videos.. here they are:

    Total Size : 3.55 GB
    Length : 3:13:58
    Video Codec : 2-pass H.264 (.MP4 Container)
    Video Datarate : 2500 kbps
    Video Framerate : 29 fps
    Resolution : 710 x 400p
Audio Codec : AAC; Stereo; 160 kbps

    Total Size : 2.18 GiB
    Length : 02:20:30
    Resolution : 960x480
    Aspect Ratio : 16:9 (widescreen)
Video Codec : constant rate factor 25 with AVC (H.264)
    Video Bitrate: 2122 kbps (average)
    Video Framerate: 29.97 fps
Audio : AAC; 48000 Hz; stereo; 96 kbps
    Containe : MP4

    Total Size : 2.46 GB
    Video Codec : 2-pass H.264 (.mp4 container)
    Video Bitrate : 2500 kbps
    Video Framerate : 59.98 fps
    Resolution : 960X544
Audio Codec : AAC; 48000 Hz; stereo; 112 kbps

There were a couple other videos that did not work I can try to find, but I hope this helps...

Thanks for taking the time to look at this... really need it.

    DAN

What're the specs for the videos that do work? You can check the details using MediaInfo.

Also try a soft reset via Settings and the hard reset button (see manual for more).
