       add new files to drive, but wdtv does not display

    I added a new movie to my WD-Passport 1 Tb drive. I plug it into my WDTV Gen2, and it doesn't show the file. The movie is a standard mpeg2, named with normal characters. Plays on my computer fine.

    I tried unplugging the drive, turning the wdtv on/off, attaching to another USB port. Also tried to factory reset. Nothing.

    This has been happening since I bought the unit. Sometimes I'm lucky, the new file shows up immediately.

    Help!

    after you are done adding files to the drive on your computer, delete the .wd_tv folder from the drive before plugging it back into the wdtv, that way it will rescan the drive and hopefully pick up all your files.
