    Hi

Was thinking about getting a MyBook but I heard there are 2 versions... Mac and Windows

What If I get the windows versions (with NTFS.. something like that).. will I still be able to use it with my macbook?

And if I get the Mac one, will it work with the WDTV?

    Thanks

    Hi thinkbig,

You will want to grab a MyBook and format it to HFS+ with journaling turned off, all done by running Disk Utility found in your Applications > Utilities. I wouldn't bother getting the Mac MyBook its a little more money and you wont use any of the extra features it comes with while its plugged into the WDTV Live. Hope that helps.

    Cheers!

    hey thanks for ur answer..

but, is there any file size limitation with HFS+?? (i heard there's a 4GB limitation with FAT32, or something like this) also, will I be able to use it with a windows?

also, should I get one with both SATA and USB2.0?? so that I can let it connected with USB to my WDLIVE and a Sata so that I can bring my laptop and transfer my movies to it with a greater speed?

You might want to read up on HFS+ a bit...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HFS_Plus

As for getting the model with both eSATA and USB, if you can afford it, why not? The speed advantage of eSATA might be well worth it, esp. if you're gonna transfer GBs of data.
