Ive had my WDTV Live Hub for a while, but i have noticed a few of my TV episodes have incorrect data with them now.

    for example
    Californicaion\Season 2\205 - Vaginatown.mkv

it has some data attached to it i want to get rid of.

is there an in depth explanation of how to use the meta info feature?

it would nice to know how i can make the tv folders get their data from the tvdb source which appears to be one of the options, but i don't know how the wdtv hub distinguishes between movies and tv shows. it rarely gets the wrong info on a movie, just on my tv shows in my library.

    I have some similar issues.
    1) before i realized i could get metadata, I named my tv episodes, 01, 02, 03, etc.. with jpg's named the same, like i used to on my old wd tv gen1. While this worked, the live smp names all episode 03's as some random movie.
    2) Trying to get meta data for some tv shows just doesnt work, like Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Even though theres info on thetvdb website, live smp cant seem to find it.
    3) when shows do get the metadata, it arranges it so episode 10, 11, 12, etc come after episode 1, instead of episode 2.

I've opened the xmp file and changed the info inside it, but it still arranges episodes in this way.

Try the naming files like this: showname.s0x.e0x.avi

Better example: Family.Guy.s01.e01.avi. Or better yet dload a free program called theRenamer, drag and drop files in & it in most cases automatically renames for you, else you have to play with it a bit.

Oh, and you are better off to have a structure like this:

    CODE
    root of drive
    Family Guy (folder)
Season 1 ( inside Family Guy Folder)
                Family.Guy.s01.e01.avi (inside season 1 folder)
                 etc
Season 2 (inside Family Guy Folder)
                Family.Guy.s02.e01.avi ( inside season 2 folder)

    So on and so forth...
