Does anyone now if there is a way to block files or folders with inappropriate content for children?

I guess the only way might be to put a dot/period (".") before the folder name you want to hide, and it shouldn't show up. But you'll need to use the PC every time to edit the folder name to hide/unhide it. Maybe someone else knows of a better way?

put that stuff on another drive is the absolute safest way :/

for network shares this is the best way:
put it in another folder and move into one of your shares when they aren't around for that sort of thing and drag it back out when you're done with it..

for content on a drive attached to the wdtv, no easy way at all, even WDUser's method is a pain although in theory it 'should' work.
