hi people
i bought a wd media player 1st generation i ran a ext drive thru it and brill pic but no sound and some films are just a black screen I've been told to use a optical link and the same thing no sound so frustrating !!!!!!!!!! can someone please help i have a vsx 909 pioneer amp with 3 optical inputs i put the setting on dvd and connect the optic link into with either input 1/2 or 3 and nothing i still leave the phono leads in back of the wd unit and the dvd input and changed the setting on the wd box to stereo and digital??? I'm running out of ideas!!!!!! cheers nick |

WDTV GEEK Group: Moderator |
Optical = Digital. Set WDTV to digital output. Disconnect the phono leads from the WDTV. Then look in the instructions manual for your amplifier on how to connect optical sources to it(apart from plugging it in, you simply need to choose the correct input. DVD is probably not correct).
