Yesterday I purchased WD TV. Came home hooked it up to my TV and attached my WD
hard drive and all worked well, very impressed. When I went to bed last night I turned the
WD TV and the hard drive off.
When I get home from work today I turned the WD TV and hard drive back on.
The WD TV now does not recognize that the hard drive is plugged into it.
The hard drive is a 3 1/2 inch 250 gig external power Western Digital
    WDC WD25 00JB-00REA0
It does not matter which USB port I plug it into
Out of desperation I reformat the drive NTFS, no help
The hard drive works well when plugged into the computer
If I plug in a flash drive into the WD TV it works
The WD TV has the latest firmware
I have no idea what to try next
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated
    Ken

    Hi Ken,

Sorry to hear you're having some issues with your hard drive. Have you tried another external hard drive hooked up to the WDTV? When you went to bed last night did you power down the WDTV? Did you unplug the hard drive from the wdtv? If you unplugged the hdd from the WDTV did you properly eject it?

You might want to try ejecting the hdd from the WDTV then pull the plug from the WDTV. Plug the power cable back into the WDTV and let it fully boot up, now plug in the hdd to the WDTV and see of the usb light in the front starts flashing. Let us know what happens.

    Cheers!
