Hi
I have just bought a WDTV Live Hub which I have upgraded to the latest firmware. The hub has a SERIOUS problem/bug concerning preservation of the user input HDMI settings. Regardless of what I set the HDMI settings to, the WDTVLH keeps defaulting to 720p after some time. This seems to frequently happen when I set my ONKYO receiver to use another HDMI input (for example my PS3 input). It also occurs in other situations - e.g when I switch off my receiver and/or WDTVLH. I am quite dissapointed with this bug, because I bought the WDTVL to be able to play 1080p HD content properly and I find it very annoying to manually keep reverting the settings to 1080p. In many other aspects I am very satisfied with the box, which functions quite well as a small media server. Does anyone know how to solve this issue. I think the WDTVLH needs a firmware upgrade and I seriously hope that they will release a fix for this ASAP. Regards, Knud |

Even with the Live, WD's been really struggling with HDMI-related issues for the last 8 months or so. Did the older FW have this bug too? Unfortunately that FW doesn't seem to be available anywhere, so you can't even downgrade to check.
