Hi there, i bought a mini for 40 euros 1 Month ago.
I experienced some problems - hope someone has a solution for that. 1. All mp3 files start but the first 1-2 secs are missing. Sounds a bit strange sometimes. That sucks cause the audio quality is great and i can even connect my cellphone with the mini an play the music from the microsdhc card. 2. I create PVR (mpg) files and want to play them with the mini, but all of them do judder (sorry for my englisch by the way). It does not matter if they were recorded by my dvbt on my notebook or direct via my dvdbt hardware connected to the tv. thx in advance for your help. |

I don't have a Mini, so all I can do is point you to this post for some things to try.
Also, check in Settings if there is an option to change the resolution, and if it's set to Auto, try some other values and see. How are you connecting the player to the TV? |

Okay, thx for the answer and the link first of all.
The mini is connected via av - pal /composite and the only thing i can find in settings is to change the resolution from 4/3 to 16/9. do you have an idea how to fix the audio (mp3/flac, etc) playback- issue by the way? |

Can't really say, 'cos like I said, my player (1st Gen.) works fine and I don't have access to a Mini to check whether it's a universal issue or only with your unit. I'd say it must be the latter though, 'cos otherwise all Mini users would be complaining. Did you try another drive etc. as mentioned in that thread I linked to? If that doesn't work, I recommend you contact WD Support and see what they have to say about it.

BTW, if they suggest a fix that works (as opposed to simply having you RMA the unit), kindly let us know as well.

as always when it comes to support hotlines - they never heard of this problem. The problem is NOT included in the Troubleshooting database. So i have to send my mini back to wd to get a new one.
Damn hoped that i can solve that the easy way. Greetz Hell |

At least hope the replacement does solve the issue! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
