    Hi Guys,

    Im a bit of a noob when it comes to this but I recently copied around 20 gig of home movies from my JVC video recorder to my laptop running windows vista. My kids have been watching the videos without an issue. I then copied these to my WD 1TB hard drive. I use a desktop PC running windows XP with this 1TB hard drive connected to it, thats shared with the WD media player thats in another room connected to my TV.

    Initially everything was fine, the videos played without a problem and I got my laptop back.

    After a few days the videos stopped displaying any picture and sound. I can pause it, forward and rewind them but the picture is always black.

    Any ideas?

    Which model and firmware version do you have exactly? Have you tried a hard reset yet?
