       no sound rom iso

    i have ripped an iso file from one of my dvds , put it on my hd and played it with my wdtv....great picture but no sound....any ideas

    Are you trying to play DVD's (ISO) with DTS audio track?

    Do you use a receiver if this is the case?

    its just a straight iso rip from a dvd.....i read somewhere else on this site about someone who was playing an iso file on his wdtv with no probs.....im not sure about the audio track

    I streamed an ISO once to test it, it played fine, but I have a receiver that does do DTS. I do not recall the audio source of the image but I do not think an ISO would have DTS encoding..
    doesn't make sense as a lot of people hook dvd players directly to the TV and it plays and sounds fine..

    so, I am baffled on this one for now..
