Hi to all those experienced users:
Could someone help me with what I suspect is probably easy to do but to an almost "over the hill" guy with basic computer savy, is finding very frustrating. I recently aquired the WD plus and got hooked almost immediately. I confess I bought it reluctantly on advice from a friend who kept nagging me to move forward with technology. Previously I would take my laptop to my TV and play files that were stored on this system. He brought his over one evening and I was hooked, in three short weeks I not only bought one but also upgraded my external 250MB HD to a 2TB WD external drive. Now I am trying to avoid taking this drive down to my laptop, copying files onto the external HD and then returning it to my WD Plus in the other location. I have the WD Plus wired to the net and have no problems with Internet connections. I can't seem to figure out how to network my WD to my laptop. If someone could walk me through this I would be eternally gratefull. Thx |
