Hi guys, I have a slight problem playing a .mkv file. The video plays fine with no audio sync or stuttering problems, but when I try to FF through the titles (or any part of the video for the matter of that) the WDTV displays the following message: "The file you are playing doesn't support seek to a position". It also seems to be displaying the length of the movie's duration incorrectly and ends approximately 5 minutes too soon. Apart from this, I'm really enjoying my WDTV!! If anyone can suggest a fix it would be very much appreciated!! :-)

P.S. I probably should add that the movie is playing perfectly fine in VLC with none of the duration problems.

    Hi AndyTGD,

Welcome to the forums! I have seen this problem before and it was always due to an error during the transfer of the file up to your external drive. Why not try deleting the mkv off the drive and then re-up it and see what happens, I think you might find success.
Let us know how you make out.

    Cheers!

Thanks! Works a treat now. Amazing how such a simple thing can cause trouble. Good job I didn't delete the original files! Thanks again for the help.
