    Hi all.

I have a problem with my WDTV (first generation).

When I turn the box off and leave the USB harddisk plugged in, the next time I turn it on, in most of the cases, the USB drive isn't recognized (the "folder is empty" message). I have to unplug the USB drive and plug it back in so it is recognized.

Im sure i have the latest official firmware.

Do you have any ideas on what might be the problem?

    Thanks in advance.

are you ejecting the drive before turning the wdtv off? that is a must or you risk corrupting data on the drive.
