I'm so lost, I'm not even sure which forum to post this question! I have a very specific need and can't figure out which WDTV contraption I should buy. I have a wireless network. I already have HD TiVo from which I get my netflix, Amazon, etc. What I really want is something that allows me to wirelessly stream all my .mov (some .avi) home videos and my pictures as slideshows from my Mac to my HDTV. What device best accomplishes this? I am willing to add the files to a hard drive that attaches to the device if this works better than streaming. I think it's a pretty simple need but I just can't figure this out. Please help!

live, live plus (if you're in the US), or the live hub
they are the only ones with new firmware and currently being developed. however if you think you may be interested in home brew firmware, then the live or the live plus are you're choices. although I am not sure about the .mov files.. no idea if they will play on these units or not, I don't have any and am to tired to go searching for playable file types right now.. |

For .MP4/.MOV, supported video codecs are MPEG4 / AVC and audio codecs are AAC / MPEG Audio / Dolby Digital. If you're talking about MOVs created by your camcorder, they may or may not work without remuxing/re-encoding.
