    Hello everybody,

can anybody confirm if the Audio format MPEG-1 Layer-3 Audio (mp3), is supported as the audio channel in a AVI container?

I have the WD TV connected via HDMI to a Sony KDL-46-W5500. I have tried to play a .avi file, which DivX Player indicates has the following properties:

    Video channel #1:
    FOURCC: "XVID" (XviD Mpeg-4 Video)
    704x384

    Audio channel #1:
    FormatTag : "85" (MPEG-1 Layer-3 Audio (mp3))
    2 channels, 32000Hz

And I get no sound (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) . For other types of avi's I have no issue.

    Thanks for your comments.
