it's a certainty that with the success of the wdtv, a second gen is on the way CODE http://tinyurl.com/qzlr5v I thought this would of been out sooner then next fall. What do you think they will drive the price up to for this new feature, shouldnt be much cause ALL the r and d has been done for them. |

r & d has indeed been done, by us!
WD will reap the rewards though, if it's popular it will be expensive, we'll just have to be diligent in looking for sales coupons and rebates, etc in order to get it at a reasonable price. oh wait, we did that for this one too! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

I just hope that if a new WDTV comes out they will continue to release free firmware updates for the existing model. Still a lot of things which can be changed and improved.

I hear that, there are a few quirks I would like to see fixed, official network support being added is top on my list for additions. |

i got a question about trying to access the ip number on my wdtv were can i ask this In the troubleshooting forum. Anyway, to see your IP, simply go to Settings -> System -> About and there you should see your IP. At least you can see it in WDLXTV. EDIT: I don't have a ethernet adapter yet, but I have IP 0.0.0.0 according to the about page(since I'm not connected). |
