What's in this update?
Release 1.00.60 (3/22/10) * Added user interface language support for: Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Croatian, Polish, Albanian and Serbian. * Added UTF-16 subtitle support. * Resolved the problem with copying file into HFS+ partition's HDD. * Resolved various multi-language text and filename issues. * Resolved Hindi ANSI subtitle not being displayed with "Hindi" settings. * Resolved unable to copy file in 1 partition USB device. * Resolved not seeing subtitle file in file management. * Resolved unlock feature failing to unlock a locked WD drive. * Resolved file named with Hindi and Thai not being displayed normally. * Resolved MKA audio files playing for 2 seconds then skipping to the next song. * Resolved the problem with previous subtitle remaining displayed. * Resolved USB drive not spinning down when ejected. * Resolved subtitle alignment issues. * Resolved subtitles not being displayed for some ISO videos. Just follow the steps below to update: 1. Download the latest firmware update compressed file for your WD TV Mini Media Player. 2. Extract the "WDTV_mini.IMG" to the root (top level) of a portable USB drive. 3. Connect the USB drive to the WD TV Mini Media Player's USB port. 4. Press HOME, and then select the Settings bar. 5. Select the firmware upgrade icon, and then press ENTER. 6. You are prompted to perform the firmware upgrade. 7. Select OK on the firmware update prompt, and then press ENTER. This will restart the system. 8. After restarting, the system automatically enters firmware upgrade mode. 9. Once the update process is completed, the WD TV Mini Media Player will restart again. 10. Once the WD TV Mini Media Player restarts, the new firmware is automatically loaded. |

Amazing, I was just talking a few days back about how this model at least deserves one firmware update after being released. Will wonders never cease! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Who knows? Maybe even the 1st Gen. will see another FW update after all... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
