I have recently purchased a Wdtv live which is connected by ethernet cable to my router( D link dir-825). I have been steaming music and video from my laptop with out a problem.
I decided to add more storage as my laptop doesn't have much. I bought a 1.5Tb Wd elements hard drive. If I connect it to the Wdtv live through the USB port, can I transfer files from my laptop wirelessly? If not can I do it through my router? I would prefer not to have to disconnect my hard drive every time I want to add files to it.
I'm not the most computer savy person in the world, as you might have guessed, and would really appreciate your help. Thanks very much in advance.

Actually, it's alright. I've sussed it out.
I couldn't see the hard drive on my network before, but when I go in to my network center on my laptop and click on the WDtv live icon, I can see my hard drive icon. I guess all I have to do to transfer files is to cut and paste. It's probably slower to transfer files this way, but it's nice not to have to move hardware.
