    Hi, I just opened my WDTV (PAL 1st Gen) and I wanted to configure my existing remote control and it didnīt reconigze the WDTV. Anybody could help me with this config?

    Thanks for the reply but is not what I need. I need a code (only one) for this Universal Control. If the TV is Sony (for example) is 3412...

    Hmm, in that case I'm all out of ideas. I know for sure Logitech Harmony universal remote models work with these players, as well as any others that can use the codes (in different formats) mentioned in that other post. Doesn't your remote have an official/unofficial forum dedicated to it where you can maybe ask other users? Otherwise unless someone else here has this specific make/model and further uses it successfully with their WD player, it might be difficult to get help.
