Hello.
Just got my WDTV Live Plus and have been trying to get acquainted. The menu system is not very friendly! I have alot of little questions, but my biggest one right now is: when I select Video>Media Servers>Server1 I get a menu with "Video" at the top, then I see folders for music, pictures, playlists and video. Shouldn't it only be showing video (and maybe playlists) under this menu? It does the same thing on all the other top-level menus (music, pictures). So, basically it doesn't matter which top-level menu I select, I always land in the same place with choices for all types of media. What's the point of having a top-level menu? Am I understanding this write or do I have something not configured right? My media lives on a WHS and I have all 3 types selected for streaming. Thanks for any help understanding this! |

I also found this as odd and called WD support talked to 2 different agents and was told that this is how it was designed and there is no way to tell it which folders to show and which ones not to.. i was also informed that there is no way for it to remember which folder you were in last.
Sorry for the bad news... Also sorry for bumping an old thread but i ran into this today and didnt see any answer so i felt it needed |

Also sorry for bumping an old thread but i ran into this today and didnt see any answer so i felt it needed No need to apologise at all. We appreciate the input. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Also, it's better to bump an existing thread IMO rather than clutter up the forum with a hundred threads for the exact same issue. |
