I have the WDTV Live! Plus...I love it! My wife subscribed to some polish webtv site. It uses WebTV which I think is something Microsoft made and sells to third party internet TV companies (?) Is there a way to get the WebTV to stream these channels so my wife can watch on our big tv instead of the laptop?
I am very familiar with Linux if some Hacking is required. (In the good-meaning legal sense of that word.) Thanks, C |

Wikipedia tells me that:
QUOTE The WebTV/MSN TV product is an adapter that allows a television set to be connected to the internet, primarily for web browsing and e-mail. The setup includes a web browser, wired or wireless (i.e. Bluetooth or IRDA) keyboard and connection to the Internet (via modem, ADSL, cable, power-line communication etc.) There are no plans to ever add full browser support to any of the WD TV models. You can check out media servers like TVersity or PS3 Media Server and see if they support the sites you're interested in. b-rad is still in the process of developing the first release of hacked FW for the Live Plus. Once he does, if you think you are capable of further modifying his code and adding WebTV support to it, feel free to head over to the WDLXTV site and check out the SVN repo, the forum etc. Also, if you do come up with something, be sure to let us know so everyone can appreciate it!
