       photo viewer aspect ratio, wrong aspect ration on photos

    my wd tv mini is connected via composite to a 16:9 CRT display.
    of course i changed the display settings of the player to 16:9.

    But when viewing photos the aspect ratio isn't correct. They all are shown more expanded
    than the corrrect ratio should be.

    Any suggestions?

    also when viewing videos (i.e. tv shows) the image area is slighty cropped in comparison to
    vlc player on my pc for example. is this normal?

    There is a setting for that. Check it out:

    Settings - Photoscaling - Display as is (should be checked)
