Does anyone knows if the USB Hub support has been fixed in the new release?
I have 4 HDD with about 5 TB of space total and only one port since I have a wireless USB adapter connected to one of the USB ports. I tried to use the wireless adapter to watch movies from my PC but the streamming is not very good.
Is there any fix for this?

    Thank you for your time.

USB hub support won't be 'fixed', because it was never broken in the first place. USB hub support was deliberately removed with a FW update by WD, so it's not likely to ever return. If you don't like this, make yourself heard and let WD know.

As of now, the only way to get USB hub support is to install custom FW, and even with that, not all hubs work so you might have to try a few before you get lucky with one.

Thanks for the response and sorry I could not answer faster but all day out working. Anyways, do you know which USB works and which FW update version would work with? I would also like to know where do I put my complain about the removal of USB Hub support of the FW to WD?

Thank you once more for taking the time to read and answer my messages.

Nope, don't have a Live Plus so no idea which particular USB hub make/model will work with it. As for the firmware, just install the latest version of WDLXTV custom FW (available here) and then test your hub.

To complain, either contact WD Support via phone/e-mail (check the WD site), or post in the official forum here (many complaints exist already about this BTW, so you can add to an existing thread, but I don't think it'll make any difference at all to WD, who just don't seem to care).
Reason for edit: Split/moved thread (see below), so updated link to point to Live+ custom FW instead

Thank you for your response again. I downloaded a few different versions of the FW and one of them did work recognized all my drives thru only one USB port with a cheap USB Hub. The only problem I have is that now all the HDD stay on all the time even when I turn off my WD TV Live Plus.

FW is 1.03.39_B WDLXTV_Plus-0.4.3.2 and my USB hub is a cheap Targus not even self powered that I bought long ago in Walmart.

Thank you for all your input and help.

I am still going to be calling WD suppoort to complain about the USB hub support.
Thanks again and have a nice day.

Wait, you used WDLXTV Plus 0.4.3.2 (which is the latest BTW)? I thought you had a Live, which is why you were posting in the Live > Wishlist section? I wouldn't have linked you to the Live's Custom FW section if I knew you had a Plus. Kindly post in the proper section next time.

Anyway, now that you've installed WDLXTV, as a bonus you can have movie sheets, YouTube HD support (which WD has restricted as well), plugins, themes etc.

For USB power off too, WDLXTV may be able to help you out depending on your hardware. See here and here for more.

P.S. I have split your posts and my responses and moved them here to the Live Plus > Wishlist section.

I guess I'm not to sure what I have then the box outside it says WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player. I really don't know the difference between the models but this one says is the model : WDBABX0000NBK-NESN.
I hope that helps to identify what I have. In any event i sure appreciate your help and guidance as well as the time that you spent answering my questions.

Thanks again for the shortcuts to the right forums.
    thanks.

No problemo, glad you got it all sorted out. Let us know if the USB power off option worked as well.

P.S. If the box says you have a Live Plus, then that's what you do! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The reason to be certain before flashing is that you can't (shouldn't even try) to flash one model's FW onto another. If you're ever in doubt, you can always use the first link in my sig below to confirm the model using the model number.
