    Hi,

I have just started setting up my Home theatre and have some into a big of an issue and wondering if the brains trust on here may be able to help me out.

I have a Gen1 Western Digital WDTV (not a live version) and am trying to get it to work through my yamaha 3900 receiver though HDMI, i wont display a picture at all and it just sits on the default yamaha screen. I have tryed 6 different cables and no luck, it works the WDTV to the TV via HDMI fine but not through the receiever.

Does anyone know what may be the issue here? I have tryed changing the HDMI settings to passthrough and to process but still no fat lady singing just me getting angry. I have also updated the media player to latest firmware and the receiver came with the latest firmware on it.

Could it be something to do with maybe HDCP copy protection?

Anyhelp or ideas to try would be excellent.

    Thanks

    Mark
