I just upgraded to the most recent firmware (don't know because I can't see anything on my TV now, just a garbled mess).

I noticed that my video settings were set to 480p, so I changed them to AUTO.

The screen went all twisted lines, and now I can't get back to change it back so that I can use this device.

It is totally useless now. Does anyone know how I can use the remote "blind" to step through the menu in order to go back to a working setting?

I've tried holding the reset for 10 seconds, that does nothing. Hitting it and releasing it causes it to reset, but obviously does not restore to factory defaults, as it simply reboots and does the same thing.

Any help would be appreciated. I'd hate to have to send this back to WD at their expense, as it is still under warranty. This is my only source of TV now, I'll be without TV until it gets back to me.

You should be able to connect temporarily via composite/component and change the video settings. Also, which FW version did you install? Was it a recent beta or an earlier stable release?
