Hi.
When starting playing movie it would be very nice if you can somehow jump very fast to some point in the movie. FF button does this very slowly. Before WDTV I user xbox to play movies and there this was possible. You could jump few seconds or few minutes forward (or backward). Best regards, rp |

10 minute skip: Press Fast Forward/Reverse on the remote then Next/Prev to skip forwards or backwards 10 minutes at a time.

Yes, this works, but if you want to skip hour or more then 16x FF is still slooow. But 10 min skip works as WDUSER said and this is much better alternative (thanks!). Still having arrow buttons just for rare used subtitle settings seems like waste to me. When beeing in FF/Reverse 'mode' I would use those buttons for faster jump (5 or 10 min). Another feature proposal: just downloading 0.4.3.1 but in 0.4.2.9 I am still having trouble connecting to network shares (mybook world) and it would be nice to have them somewhere in WDLXTC Config. best regards, rp |

The PS3 has an excellent fast forward function for jumping midway into long videos. It allows you to to simply highlight the the hours or minutes of the current position of the movie and then scroll up or down like setting a clock to jump to any point in the video. I would love to see a feature like this implemented.

@Eaglebiker: Yeah, considering that we've been imploring WD to add a a"Jump to Time" feature for the last so many years ever since the first WD TV model, and that WD has released multiple models while ignoring its users completely, don't hold your breath. I for one will be extremely surprised if this feature is ever implemented. Since other devices can do it, it's not a technical issue, so all I can say is that either they're incompetent, or they don't give a damn. Take your pick.
