    Hi all,

The audio output from WDTV live + to my Sonia Bravia KDL-46 lcd TV worked on Monday night, but on Tuesday morning when I turned on the TV the WD played no audio whatsoever. I noticed my thumbnails looked different and realised that the unit updated to the latest firmware. I now have facebook etc. but no audio on .avi, .mkv, .mp4 files, and in options, my audio button defaults to no audio channel; when i press ok repeatedly this changes, but I still have no sound.
What is going on? I had this unit since August playing non-stop with no problems at all. Please help me.

Try the hard reset button as mentioned in the manual. Also check the audio output setting to see if it's set correctly.

Thanks, that's what the techs at WD suggested too. I had already done it though and rolled back the firmware several times before re-updating it back to the latest. Then I turned off, left it alone for a day, and when I turned on again, it was working?? Not sure what happened but I am a happy swinger again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Maybe it just needed to rest a bit... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Oh well, as long as it's working fine now...
