    Hi

I have the same problem, no sound on flingo anymore. I can confirm this was working before the latest firmware update on the 30th Dec.

then if you want it, roll back to the previous firmware and wait for a {hopefully} ~fixed~ firmware version to be released..

I recently started using my wdtv live only to discover I was 3 revs out of date. So I am just discovering flingo myself and I can only get audio from HDMI. The digital not only doesn't work, but after trying it with flingo, my optical audio stops working for everything else after that. I had to power cycle the WDTV to get the optical audio to work for ISO from a USB drive. After I got it back to working it was fine for Youtube, Deezer and ISO rip of a DVD on a USB drive.

So I think it is specific to flingo for me. Again flingo HDMI audio works for me. Not sure I care enough about it yet to roll back the firmware and test previous version or just wait until a new version that fixes it. I have just started exploring flingo.
