    Hi Folks,

First of all Thanx for the support giving you guys on our queries.

When i tried to play Dolby TruHD/DTS-HD Master Audio Videos on WD i didn't get the audio. I know the 1st gen wont support these formats even DTS. But will it pass through over TosLink. cause My AVR is capable of handling these formats.

    any thoughts appreciated....

    thanx

AFAIK, DTS-MA and TrueHD can't be supported by the Gen. 1 since it doesn't support HDMI 1.3 which is required for bitstreaming these formats.

Does the WDTV detect audio at all? Look in the in-movie menu and press on the audio icon. If not, the WDTV will probably not support outputing it over Toslink either.

I was checking with the DTS/DOLBY promo Clips. I have got same clips with DTS/Dolby and DTS HD / Dolby TruHD versions. the first one plays great but not the second one, which is in DTS HD/Dolby TruHD. think WD wont pass thru it at all.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
