Signed up for account at Live365.com and picked out playlists. The VIP trial had already expired before I had an account.

My Playlists appear on the WDTV Live+, but when you try to listen to station, it says VIP has expired and wont let me play any of them. Some of them show a station icon, some don't.

I'm assuming that's not normal. How can I get around this?

    Looks like you have 3 choices;

    1. $5.95 a month billed $71.40 every 12 months
    2. $6.95a month billed $41.70 every 6 months
    3. $7.95 a month billed $23.85 every 3 months

I bought a hotfile account for Releaselog content, there is likely no way around this site either.

And neither of those will happen. My satisfaction level on this thing is getting less and less everytime I try a new feature..

okay so now your also after free internet then I take it..

these new "features" are shit to try to entice people to buy the media player, no more, no less.
if you didn't read and do your homework before purchasing this, then shame on you if you wanted this "feature" and expected it for free., would you expect netflix to be free too?

I wanted a video player that played every format I have, the wdtv series does that just fine.
I couldn't give a rats ass about online content, that's what my computer is for..

but that's just me, remember; opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one, some stink worse than others!

Are you asking if I'm looking for free internet.. no. Internet wasn't advertised on the box. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Live365 doesn't require a payment plan to use their services, so if i'm required to set up a payment plan to use Live365, then it's rather a bait and switch tactic, isn't it?

I've lost interest in watching media on my computer. I want to lay in bed on a sunday afternoon and watch a movie, without my laptop sitting on my stomach. That's pretty much what promoted the purchase.

I watch mostly what's on my hard drive, but I'm after what I saw advertised on the box. I could have saved some money and bought the lower end model. I've already returned this model once due to a FW bricking. :/

Wow.. feel like I should wipe now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Oops, I understand what you asking now. Yes, I just want the plain jane version, not the VIP version.

I never tried their services as I am happy to get everything I need elsewhere, so I really can't comment on how the site runs or what it costs...

I will have a look later this week though and see if I can notice anything useful and post back if I do, unless someone else knows and is willing to post too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
