    Hello everybody,

I hope you can clarify those points before I will buy it:

-Does it display medias shared via external hard drives or it just relies on the internal 1T disk? I mean, once the internal drive will be full, would it be possible to expand the capacity connecting external hard drives? Also does the USB port provide enough energy to power up a 2,5"HDD.

-I was thinking to split the hard drive into two partitions: one for music and photos, the other one for videos. Would you suggest me to do so?

-I usually format with Disk Utility for Mac OSX every HDD I get. What is the fastest and most reliable formatting code?

    Thanx a lot in advance.

    1. Yes, otherwise what's the point of the USB ports. Also, it should be able to power a 2.5" drive fine like the other models do (although I prefer to use either a pen drive with low power draw or an externally-powered HDD).

    2. It should work, although you can just create two separate directories/folders as well to accomplish the same thing. I use dirs. to organise all my media (including separate dirs. for each movie) and it works very well indeed.

    3. Read this first: http://wdtvhd.com/index.php?showtopic=23978
