    Folks,

I've just got WDTV and in common it works fine.

I don't want to hack basic software that's why I want to try to connect the external HD both to my wireless-networked notebook and WDTV.
Using such schema I would be able to load a new files to HD from my Home network and watch them on TV using WDTV.

Has anyone tried to do something similar to what I've described here.

    Thank you in advance,
    FZKAP

Hi ZKAP, How do you plan on hooking up the wdtv to the network? Or do you just want to hook the external to the network and then run it through to your wdtv? The custom firmwares are safe and do nothing to the machine also reverting back with the old formware is pretty simple. I found the easiest solution is to use the usb ethernet adapter. Sounds like you would run your drive as a nas drive if im right thats do able but still you need to hack the firmware. I think I understand what you want to do.

    Cheers!
