i have 1st gen tv mini media player and i only just realised now that it does not support all avi files. so how do i check and reformat it so that my avi file is compatible and have the best quality still..... im on a mac laptop and i cant seem to figure out how to check all the codecs everyone else is saying o have to check....thanks for your help much appreciated =)

The only recommended/supported video codecs for an AVI container would be XviD/DivX. As for audio, MP3 should be fine. Also check out these threads:
