I was wondering if it is possible to use someones else account ?
I do not have Netflix but my mother does. My brother bought her a Blu-ray player and it does Netflix and he also pays for her account.
Thing is, she hardly ever uses it so thought maybe I would put it to use ... if thats even possible.
I don't know if they trace accounts or not so ...

that would be a netflix question, not really the sort of thing we could even hazard a guess on.

Not to step on any toes Drew (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) .... Sharing your account amongst family shouldnt be a problem. I use netflix with my sons ipod our boxee box and my macbook all at the same time. Have not run into any problems yet and see none in the future. We also stream netflix at the lake, one account.

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the replies.
I guess all I can do is try. I was just cautious about any IP thing they might be able to track and question.

your not stepping on any toes neverlift, I was concerned also about 1 account and different IP's and didn't want to lead us into trouble and give Media bad advice.

Obviously this is not from personal experience, but people planning to do this ought to be careful, depending on where they live. While it should be ok, better confirm before going ahead, especially if you live in Tennessee.

Some reporters questioned whether the law could mean sharing your Netflix, iTunes or Rhapsody account with an immediate family member meant you were breaking the law. The answer is, you might, although bill supporters doubt it would be prosecuted.

Couldn't they have made the wording more specific? Maybe they were too lazy, or maybe it was done deliberately... In any case, if there's even a chance of prosecution for sharing an account with immediate family, I find this to be a really stupid law indeed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
